Outpatient Treatment

PAL does not endorse or have any particular affiliation with any treatment program. Some parents have experience with a variety of facilities/programs and may share this at a PAL meeting. Sadly there are many unscrupulous treatment centers and brokers that will “help,” find a treatment center for you. We highly recommend you seek an accredited treatment facility. The two agencies are CARF and The Joint Commission. You can also check the Better Business Bureau and talk to your insurance about reputable facilities. Any facility that cannot take you loved one but is unwilling to share other appropriate facilities is a good sign they do not have your loved ones best interest at heart. Please investigate them to determine if they are a fit for your circumstances.
